Who we are

We are Valdas and Sandra, founders of Velle Domus.

If, like us, you’re spending more time at home than ever before, you’ll want your home to feel a world away from the pressures of the every day.

We’ve always believed in the natural power of scent and that ‘home sweet home’ should be a place of rest and recovery with those you love.

We grew up in Lithuania's rich forests and hills, surrounded by fresh cut wood and memories of summers picking berries, flowers, and herbs while playing in streams and lakes.

The scent of nature is etched in our memories, something we didn’t truly realise until we moved to the beautiful coastline of South Wales over twenty years ago.

We discovered Welsh hills filled with the same evocative scents of nature we grew up in. They revived happy childhood memories and made us feel at home.
We set about unlocking our passion for scent and love of nature in handmade soy wax candles, and to send to our family in Lithuania to bring us closer together.

It wasn’t long before word spread locally and Velle Domus was born.

We know how hard it can be to distinguish between work and home life, day and night, especially if you spend lots of time in one place.

Handmade from natural and sustainable ingredients, our Velle Domus range (meaning ‘to want home’ in Latin) has been designed to influence the vibe you want to create throughout the day, and nurture deep and meaningful connections with others near and far.

We truly believe in the power of scent and the transformational difference it makes in how we feel and connect with each other.
